Identifying factors affecting the ability of novice teachers in the first days of school from the perspective of primary school teachers

Abstract
The first day of school or class - even the first few minutes - makes or breaks a teacher. Therefore, the first days of Academic year always bring their own challenges for new teachers. Successful teachers have a script or program ready for the first day of school because the work and activities done in the first days of school determine the success or failure of the teacher in the rest of the school year. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to identify the factors of the effectiveness of novice teachers in the first days of school from the perspective of primary school teachers. The approach of this research is inductive and a qualitative method was used to conduct it. The type of field research and phenomenological study method was used. The statistical population of the research was novice primary school teachers in Tabriz city, 31 teachers were selected by purposive sampling method. In this research, content analysis was done in order to classify the data. The findings showed that 12 factors have an effect on the effectiveness of novice teachers, which include the way of entering the classroom, the appearance of the teacher, self-introduction, explaining the evaluation method, determining the rules, creating an emotional and friendly relationship, getting to know the students, welcoming From the opinions of the students, appropriate design of courses, positive expectations from students, general knowledge and specialized knowledge.
