This article conceptualizes Hoshnak as a novel organizational pathology. Hoshnak refers to a condition in which artificial intelligence, by removing moral agency and reducing the human subject to a mere data point, contributes to organizational dehumanization and reproduces the logic of domination. The proposed theory rests on three foundational pillars: exertion of domination, dehumanization, and ethical destabilization. Using a conceptual and analytical approach, the paper argues that the excessive use of AI in organizations may generate six major harms: the dominance of AI over human will, the erosion of human decision-making, the suppression of human creativity, technological dependency and addiction, computational risk in crisis situations, and the inability to understand complex human and cultural issues. The paper further emphasizes the idea of an optimal threshold for AI use in organizations and suggests that crossing this threshold intensifies organizational immaturity. By framing Hoshnak as both an analytical construct and a normative warning, this study provides a conceptual framework for examining the ethical, cognitive, and institutional consequences of overreliance on intelligent technologies in organizational settings.
